According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN - via an appearance on SportsCenter - Thompson would consider joining the Lakers if they were able to add disgruntled New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis through a trade, and if the Warriors didn't offer him max money as a free agent.
At the start of the season, Thompson said that it would be "hard" to leave Golden State when discussing his upcoming free agency. But with recent with recent news of Anthony Davis wanting to come to the lakers his views have changed
Realistically they probably won’t offer him max money if they haven’t yet Klay Thompson is a premier player but even the Golden State Warriors know that he’s not worth that much money and he is on a team of All stars so it will be highly unlikely for them to give him a max deal. Even though he stated he would be a warrior for ever I think he might have to reconsider that statement definitely if the Lakers can offer him a good enough of contract to persuade him he’ll be finding a new home in California.
The Lakers could be a great place for him I believe him LeBron and Anthony Davis would make a great fit together and give the Lakers the boost that they need to become a complete team. Also he will be working with the his former assistant coach Luke Walton who knows exactly what to do with him and knows exactly what system he works well in. Then it would only be right if he played for them and follow in his dad footsteps who also was a former Laker and who is now a radio color commentator for them.
