NBA Playoffs first round.

The NBA playoffs are very exciting this year. Teams are showing who made it because they are able and willing to win, while others are falling to there own failure of what they are missing. Which team is has the best performance, who had the worst. lets find out?

In the west, We have the Warriors VS the Clippers. The series has been exciting between the 1th place vs the 8th place. The warriors lead but the Clippers have shown nothing but will to win even with lack of talent on there roster. They have had a great showing vs the best team in NBA history. Losing in 6 games to the warriors there is nothing but is for this team. In the 2th place vs 7th place match up  The Nuggets vs the Spurs. This series is a odd but competitive one. The nuggets played well in the regular season  and the the spurs have experience in the past couple years. what wins talent or experience in the match up. The answer is talent. Denver is going to the second round. The next one is Portland vs the Thunder. the match up is was 3th place vs 6th place. The series ended in 4-1 end because of the great play of Damien lillard and CJ McCollum. They just took over the entire series. The last one in the west was 4th place vs 5th place. Rockets vs the Jazz was a competitive round but short. The round ended with a 4-1 victory for the Rockets. The Jazz Showed great promise in every game. They can be real threats in the future. The Rockets also look like one of the favorites for the ring.

In the east it is a shake up. 1th place vs 8th place battle is the Bucks vs the Pistons. The truth is this series was all the Bucks because the Pistons were playing with a one legged Blake Griffin. The Bucks dominated the Pistons handily. Raptors vs the Magic was 5 game series. Lots of ups and downs. The 2th place vs the 7th place teams is a round that was one sided by the end of it. Raptors losing one game made hard on the Magic after wards. The next round was 3th place vs 6th place, the Sixers vs the Nets.lots of drama came from this but in the end the talent of the Sixers beat out the Nets. Nets won only the first game but that didn't change the fate of the placement that the Sixers were better. the last round is 4th place vs the 5th place. The Celtics pacers. the weired thing is the pacers were not a very good team because their best Victor Oladipo was injured. They have played so well in the first half that they keep their high position. But in the series it was nothing but a sweep.

The next rounds are going some epic battles. I'm looking forward to the Houston vs warriors match up in the west. In the east, I'm looking forward to the Celtics and Bucks round. these rounds will prove who is really good now. One step closer to the great time of the finals and people can play hard to get there.

Biggest NFL 1st Round Stories

Cardinals Take Kyle Murray First Overall
Whenever you take any player first overall in any draft it will automatically be the biggest story in that draft. This pick has more controversy and back story to it than the average picks. Last year the Cardinals took Josh Rosen with the 10th overall pick, with the idea being that he'll be quarterback of the future. With Murray being taken first overall it sent the message to Rosen and the league that the Cardinals are going to look towards moving on from him. The reported teams interested in Rosens are the Dolphins, Giants (who currently have 2 quarterbacks they believe in on the roster), and the Chargers. All of these teams are only interested in him for only being a backup, meaning they'll never truly get the value they were hoping for. Murray is going to be given the keys to this franchise and given the opportunity to prove himself.

Oakland Raiders Take A Player Way Too High
The Raiders had selected Clelin Ferrell at 4th overall, the NFL mock draft had him going 21st overall and Bucky Brooks had him going 17th overall. The Raiders took this player way too high, especially considering that Josh Allen was still there. Allen is considered to be one of the best players in this draft and instead of picking him, the Raiders went against everyone's opinion and drafted Ferrell. Oakland has to hope Jon Gruden knows what he's doing.

New York Giants Take Daniel Jones
Every single New York Giant fan lost their mind tonight when the Giants passed on Josh Allen and Dwayne Haskins and took Daniel Jones. Jones was drafted because of his high praise from the Mannings. Haskins was by far the best qb left and Allen is the best defender in the draft, but the Giants decided to go against conventional wisdom. Jones will have a lot on his plate to prove to Giant fans that he is the quarterback they want to lead them to the future, Eli Manning has confirmed he is fine with the Giants pick and is willing to do whatever is best for the team.

Dwayne Haskins Drops To 15th
Haskins should have been the second quarterback taken in the draft and by every experts opinion he's the 2nd best quarterback in this years draft. Haskins now has a chip on his shoulder and is ready to prove to the Giants for years to come that they made the wrong decision. The Giants worst nightmare came to truth tonight when Haskins was drafted in the same division as them. Haskins even said "The  league done messed up."

Steelers Trade Up To Get A Defensive Player
The Steelers traded their 20th, 50th and a 2020 third round pick to the Broncos for the 10th overall pick. With this pick they got Devin Bush, linebacker out of Michigan. The Steelers has had a huge problem on defense and it has often been their Achilles heel to their great offensive teams. Stephen A. Smith tweeted that he loved that the Steelers had moved up tonight to get Bush. He is going to be a great player for the Steelers and is going to be a great addition to their defense.

Blake Griffin Injury Update!

The Detroit Pistons announced Wednesday that forward Blake Griffin underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in Los Angeles, California.
Griffin had surgery to repair damage in his left knee that hampered him throughout the end of the regular season and into the playoffs. Although he finished out the Piston's first-round series loss to Milwaukee with two solid performances, he missed the first two games and was limited by pain while on the court. With an entire summer to recover, there's no reason to expect Griffin to not be ready for the 2019-20 season.

The procedure addressed the issue causing soreness in the knee during the club’s final two weeks of the season and playoffs. Griffin is not expected to miss any planned offseason training or preparation for the 2019-20 NBA season.

This season the six-time All-Star became the first Pistons player in franchise history to post averages of 24 plus points, seven-plus rebounds and five-plus assists during the regular season. He made a career-high 189 3-pointers, which was the second-highest total for three-point field goals made in franchise history.  Griffin’s 24.5 points per game tied for the ninth-highest scoring average recorded in team history and his 21 games with 30 plus points was the most since the 2000-01 season.

The New York Giants Are The Biggest Joke In The NFL

Ever since Tom Coughlin was fired from being the head coach of the Giants, the franchise has progressively gotten worst. The biggest mistake the Giants have ever done was hire Dave Gettleman as the GM, who has quickly became the worst GM in the NFL.

Ever since Odell Beckham Jr was traded the fans approval of Gettleman has been at an all-time low. Odell Beckham was a fan favorite and someone who the fans wanted to see lead them into the future. Odell was the best player by far on the team. Recently Gettleman has came out saying that Odell Beckham was a cultural problem for the team. Beckham responded on Twitter by tweeting "Ask any one of my teammates of who I was as a [teammate] and a man and a person... yes I'm cancer to a place that's ok [with] losing because I want to win that BADDD. Ur absolutely correct!" Many of the Giants players seemed content with losing and Odell was often painted by the media as a "cry baby" with how passionate he was about winning. All he wanted to do was help the Giants win a Super Bowl and the Giants made no moves to prove that they were ready to try to win.

During a News Conference with Dave Gettleman said that "You can't draft for need. You get screwed every time. You'll make a mistake." In the NFL you draft for need, every single one of the best teams in the league draft for need. That's like the Packers drafted a quarterback because he's the best player available, even though they have Aaron Rodgers. If you're going to draft for simply who the best player is instead of drafting for need than go to the NBA where you can get away with that.

Eli Manning is a huge reason why the Giants are looked at as a joke around the league. Eli Manning has won 2 Super Bowl MVPs and is beloved for what he did with the Giants. Eli is going to go down as the greatest Giants QB in history and no one can take away his accomplishments for the team, but at some point you need to retire. Eli Manning is a shell of what he use to be and doesn't look like he's improving at all. He can't get out of the pocket and if he's faced with any pressure he folds and throws an intercept or just accepts the sack. Manning is way too slow to ever run away from any defender ever. Eli Manning needs to retire.

On Thursday, the Giants will have 12 picks in the draft and they can't screw this up. They have successfully lost their best player and keep holding onto the hops that their 38 year old QB can recreate the magic he use to have. The Giants have become the biggest joke in the NFL and needs to fire their GM.

Portland is blazing.

For years the Trailblazers have had playoff woes. Getting past the first round two times in 17 years. They have done wonderful this year in the first round vs the Thunder. But what is there reason for such a good start?

The reason its working right now is them. They have improved in many ways. Losing in the past has taught the team  how hard the playoffs are for team who are not ready for the type of basketball you must play. With every coach planning for every little detail of each team and players. The Trailblazers have faced so many great opponents. Now they have the upper hand with experience with other teams. Also besides that They had their players step up in many ways. Damian Lillard has shown he can give his team a push weather it was a basket or getting someone open for a good shot. He is showing what he is in the league. He is a top 10 player. The second part is his co-star CJ McCollum who has helped his team with scoring. Giving Damian a lift with his scoring and forcing defenses to take you seriously.

The Trail blazers are running good basketball against a team who is not ready for the hardships of the toughest part in the NBA. They have shown growth with this achievement and will continue  in my opinion.

Whose To Blame For The NBA Playoffs Rating Disaster?

Televison ratings are down 26% from 2018 and the NBA is facing a disaster currently. With ratings being down they must find someway to fix this immediately. With March Madness ratings going up by 9%, the question around the league is why are the ratings down?

The most obvious reason would be that we are entering the age of streaming where no one truly watches tv anymore. That would be a fine answer typically, but not when the ratings are down by a staggering 26%. During regular season, the views were down by only 5% which is a fixable issue. The ratings dropping in 26% should be an eye opening revolution to the league and they should work to fix this issue.

The biggest reason for the huge ratings dropping is LeBron James. He's the biggest NBA player of this generation, and the most marketable player since Michael Jordan. According to Forbes, last year the Warriors vs Cavs series in the Finals brought in an average of 17.6 million viewers. LeBron James is must watch tv, and brings in the most views, even the most casual NBA fans must watch him play.

LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers is a dream come true to the league, until they realized he didn't make the playoffs. If the Lakers made the playoffs they wouldn't have had this issue at all. March Madness ratings were way up, mainly because of the play of Zion Williamson. It should open the league's eyes to the problem they could be faced with. What happens when LeBron retires?

LeBron James is 34 years old and has been in the league for 15 seasons, entering his 16th next year. This should show the league that they need a new superstar to build their brand around. The most obvious candidate to being to make the biggest star in the league is Zion Williamson. Zion is already a stud in college and is destined to being the next superstar. Zion's best bet will be to going to the Knicks and saving New York basketball. If the Knicks can build a strong team around Zion, then the NBA will be set for when LeBron James does retire.

These television ratings for the playoffs should scare the NBA and make then prepare more for the future of the league. They need to begin to plan for when LeBron James retires because these ratings are terrible without him.

Joel Embiid Doubtful For Game 4 Return

The Philadelphia 76ers are listing Joel Embiid as doubtful for Game 4 of their first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets.Embiid has been bothered by a sore left knee, but was able to play in the first two games of the series. He warmed up before Game 3 on Thursday night before it was decided that he couldn't play.Embiid worked out Friday at the 76ers' practice in New York but coach Brett Brown said he didn't know and didn't have a gut feeling about whether his All-Star center would be able to go Saturday afternoon. That would be his consecutive playoff game missed due to his knee soreness which he reported has gotten worse.

Despite not being 100 percent, Embiid is averaging 22.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per game in two games vs. the Nets. He missed his first game of the postseason on Thursday, when the 76ers claimed a 131-115 victory over the Nets in Brooklyn. In Embiid's absence, Ben Simmons erupted for a career night. Simmons posted a postseason career-high 31 points, four rebounds and nine assists with Greg Monroe filling in for Embiid in the post.
Tobias Harris, who's had a relatively quiet series, totaled 29 points while JJ Redick chipped in with 26.

Heads turned when the 76ers were upset by the Nets in Game 1, but now their offensive versatility. Philadelphia could prove to be a serious threat, even without the physically imposing Embiid imposing his will on both ends. If Philadelphia can steal another win and can close this series out by game 5 Some extra rest could prove to be beneficial for Embiid and the rest of the team.

Is Ben Simmons just average?

Lots of things have been said about Ben Simmons. He has been questioned for his lack of a shot and how it affects his team. Also is affect is to his personal skill with his growth. But in recent comment by Jared Dudley had brought this in important time in any season, the playoffs. His comment was that Ben is a great transaction player but an average player in the half court. Does this hurt or help Ben Simmons this playoffs?

In the playoffs the players greatest weakness do come because the coaches have time to prep a real long term plan for the other teams most impactful players. For Ben Simmons, this is a real test pf his position in the league. Everyone knows he wont attempt a shot far away. the defense just has to guard Joel Embid in a double team or force Ben in to a highly contested layup or dunk. I do believe this will be the down fall of the Sixers for this playoffs because teams will improve there plan has the rounds move closer to the finals. If the Sixers don't find away to solve this soon this cause more problems then they know. But looking at the comment i think it is true that he is just any average player. The problem stems with the Sixers relaying on him to be second or firsts player on the court when he is there.

the test will make or brake Ben Simmons career and were he stands in in history of the NBA. No matter how much talent one player can have coming in, they must improve there glaring weakness but i don't see Ben even trying to shoot shoots in a game. He has no free throws and his only real offense is taking it to the hole.

Kyrie Irving The Savior Of The Celtics

Throughout this season the Celtics fans have been complaining about Kyrie Irving, even the media has began to paint him as the villain to the team. People have questioned if the Celtics would be better if they didn't have Kyrie at all, they were a Terry Rozier 3 away from a final's trip. Kyrie Irving is proving in this years playoffs why he is truly completely unstoppable when he's on.

The expectations for this young Celtic's team was to make the playoffs and run off with the Eastern Conference. Since then the expectations have dramatically changed, the Celtics finished with the 4th best record in the Eastern Conference. Some NBA analyst were questioning if the Celtics could even make it past the Pacer's in the 1st round, others were saying it was going to be a difficult series for the Celtics. Currently the Celtics are up 2-0 in the series and it's all because of Kyrie Irving's play.

In game one against the Pacers, Kyrie Irving put the Celtics ahead of the Pacers 84-74. Kyrie Irving put up 20 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and was +19 on the floor. In Game 2 Irving put up 37 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, and was +4 when he was on the floor. Kyrie Irving has put this Celtics team on his back and is going to bring them to the promise land. Kyrie Irving has been unstoppable for the Pacer's, he's mastered how to switch up speeds to blow past any opponent in the league.

The pressure on this team is at an all-time high, between the media and the city of Boston it could crush these young player's confidence. Kyrie Irving has been able to shield them all season, he's been the vocal point of conversation all season. Even if he didn't mean to do this, Kyrie Irving might've saved this team.

Jayson Tatum hasn't progressed the way most people hoped he would've in year 2. Last year Tatum was going toe to toe with LeBron James, even dunking on him. This season Jayson Tatum only went up from 13.9  to 15.7 points per game.

Gordon Hayward has been partially protected from his slow comeback from that devastating injury he suffered last season, he even is coming off the bench this season. Hayward is being paid over $31 million to come off the bench and averaging 11.5 points per game, where his last season in Utah he was averaging over 20 points a game.

NBA Analysts have been discussing about these problems with the Celtics but it has been silence ultimately by Kyrie Irving. He's been like the big brother who makes sure the school's bully doesn't bully the school. Every time there has been any talks about how the Celtics have struggled all season, the talks has always gone back to how they would be better off without Kyrie Irving. Kyrie Irving took the entire media's storm of criticism and covered his teammates from the wrath of them.

This postseason the Celtics are putting the NBA on notice why they were one game away from the NBA Finals. Kyrie Irving is the unquestioned leader of this team and can handle the pressure of the playoffs. Irving hit the biggest shot of the 2016 Finals to give the Cavs their first Championship in franchise history. Kyrie Irving is a monster and the playoff Kyrie has been activated, now it's time for the Eastern Conference to figure out a way to contain Irving.

DeMarcus Cousins Injury Update!

Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins has a torn left quadriceps, is out for an indefinite period and will begin rehabilitation immediately, the team said Tuesday.
An MRI on Tuesday morning confirmed the tear, according to the Warriors, who said it would provide updates on Cousins "as appropriate."

Cousins' noncontact injury occurred while he was pursuing a loose ball with 8:30 remaining in the first quarter of Monday's 135-131 loss to the LA Clippers in Game 2 of their playoff series.
He knocked away a pass from Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari. As Cousins tried to chase down the ball, he fell to the floor. He tried to get up and keep going, but once he rose to his feet, he immediately called to be taken out of the game. He then gingerly made his way back to the Warriors' locker room with team medical personnel.

Cousins just started getting back to his old self. Cousins had shown steady progress and glimpses of his All-NBA self before Monday's injury, but now he will be facing several more months of rehab on the quad. Cousins must be devastated as of right now. But not only for his team but for his future as well Cousins missed almost a full year of play with a torn left Achilles suffered last season in New Orleans.

He signed a one-year deal with the Warriors, expecting that a healthy return to play would catapult him back into the free-agent market this summer. With him suffering two major injuries this changes his value and how teams look at him now. He his now seen as a liability to teams. Even with his unremarkable ability he is seen as a hazard. You take a chance on him and sign him you don’t know how long he will be out. Also when he get healthy you won’t know what your gonna get out of him and you won’t know how much of a hindrance his past injuries will be. The risk and reward is high in this situation, but that’s the price of doing business.

Dream Crushers

The NBA playoff come every year with all sorts of teams. You have your teams who know they can make it to the finals and win. The second type of teams are the teams that must prove that they belong. And then you have the dream crushers, dream crushers are the teams that are hungry and people don't think much of them. Which of the teams are dreams crushers?

The first team that could be a dream crusher is the Brooklyn Nets. D'Angelo Russel has been nothing but phenomenal in this NBA season. Leading his teams to wins to 42 wins. The Nets are currently facing the Philadelphia 76ers and they just stole the first game from the Sixers. Russel dropped 26 points in his first NBA playoff game. The sixers are considered one of the top teams in the east. If the Nets can keep this energy going they might just crush any hopes for this team keeping Jimmy Butler.

The second team that can be a great dream crusher is the Portland Trailblazers. The team is 3th in the west but people always look over them because the media forgets about about them. They have probably the best the point guard in the league right now. Right now they are facing the Thunder who are a more popular team for the players. Everyone expects Westbrook and George to make it to the next round. The Trailblazers have some great players in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. Also they have some great role players like Eneis Kanter who had a 20 point game and 18 rebounds. He was very effective for being a third option.

Overall these two teams have the best bet to win there series because of skill and team work. I am excited to see the playoffs to see how it turns out. Who will win and will lose is still a mystery and I cant wait.

Is Damian Lillard the most underrated player right now?

Many players in the League have had great seasons with there teams. But every season has one player who has been nothing but a beast. In fact there was one player who is been like this for a couple years now. It has been Damian Lillard for so many reasons.

The first reason is stat lines. He has been one of the most impressive players a point guard. With 25.8 points, 6.7 assist, and 1.1 steal. Leading his team in point and assists, his great effort is shown in those numbers alone. He is in the top 10 in points per games with the 9th position. Not only that but he has had so many 30 point plus games. With four 40 points games in a year where James harden has taken the mantel of best scorer people have forgotten that Dam has played on a MVP level for sure this year.

The second and most important thing he has is leadership. He has shown so much love and respect to his teammates and team. In a interview about the reasoning for not asking for trade. It was multiple reasons but the first one is he wants to win but getting a ring isn't the most important thing. He has put the players he has around higher then being a leader of championship squad. He knows if he leaves the team the players around him could have a change in life in the negative way. Also he wants the competition to get that ring as well. On top of that Damian has a clutch gene like no other. Put the ball in his hands and the ball is going to go in.

Overall Damian is a top ten player in the league with true old school loyalty his team and fans. he has shown so much drive for winning that he wont considered a ring less career as bad thing but he wants it his way.  He wont put his pride away to just win a pointless victory.

Should The Orlando Magic Have Tanked This Season?

The main discussion revolving around the Orlando Magic this playoffs will be if they should've tanked this season to get another asset or be a first round exit. The Orlando Magic have ended the season at the 7th place in the Eastern Conference. The Magic have made the playoffs for the first time since the 2011-12 season, ending the longest playoff drought in the Eastern Conference.

Everyone around the league thought that the Magic would be one of the worst teams in the league and compete for a top pick in the draft. They would presumably be going for either Zion or Rj to help them with their future. Instead a team lead by Dj Augustin, Evan Fournier, and Nikola Vucevic got this team to the playoffs.

The key to this incredible Magic season is Steve Clifford. Clifford has came in and gotten the maximum production from all the players on the team. He turned Vucevic into an All-Star and turned Dj Augustin into a a good starter with 11.6 points and 5.3 assists a game. Making it to the playoffs means a great deal for the team and the city of Orlando.

Dwight Howard was on the Magic the last time the Magic made it to the playoffs. Since then Dwight Howard has been with the Lakers, Rockets, Hawks, Hornets, Nets, and Wizards all before the Magic have made the playoffs. Making the playoffs means that the fans of Orlando have something to look forward to. It shows the fans that the team does have a bright future ahead and that all of these bad years they have suffered through is going to be worth it. Ultimately this helps the youth of the group the most, it'll give them the experience they can use to help them later on in their careers.

Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, and Mo Bamba are going to benefit the most from this playoff experience. These players are ultimately the future of the Magic and who they will try to build their team around. The oldest of these players are Gordon, who is 23, he's been on the Magic for the past 5 seasons and is slowly becoming a better player every year. Gordon shows flashes of becoming a Blake Griffin like player, with early in his career being a dunker who turns into a point forward with a shot. This is extremely promising for the Magic as Griffin is an All-NBA 3rd team player this season.

Bamba and Isaac are defensive minded players who are really young in their careers. This playoff experience will give these guys a better idea of what they need to add to their games to help them excel in the postseason. Bamba hasn't been the most productive rookie for the Magic, playing in only 47 games this season, but he shows a lot of promise. Bamba is a 7 foot center who showed in the Preseason he can shoot 3's, which is vital in today's game. Isaac is a defensive minded 7 foot forward who is poised to have his best scoring year next season. This season he has raised his point per game by 4.2 points and has the ability to become a dominating player on both sides of the ball.

The Orlando Magic know what they are doing with the talent they are getting to surround the team with. The ultimate example of this is Michael Carter-Williams. Since signing to the team, the Magic have gone 9-2 with him. This is just a small example of how the right role player can help the team and how the Magic have committed to winning this season.

Ultimately some will try to argue that the Magic made a mistake for not tanking and going for a good pick and keep with the rebuilding plan. However, they made the right move by getting their players experience and showing to their fans that they are moving towards the right direction. They are developing a winning culture there and having the fans demanding wins will help the Magic succeed in the future. The Magic have a great future ahead of them and we can only hope the rest of the Eastern Conference is paying attention to them.

Is Boston going to be good next year?

Boston Celtics have been slowly getting better. The infamous trade that sent Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and all there old players. In return they had received many picks from the Nets in that have made this team they have now. But will it stay together?

Problems come with many teams but the Celtics have strange problems that they have created. Danny Ainge has said things about getting Anthony Davis by trading his young core. The problem comes with Anthony not wanting to commit to a long term deal with them. Danny would be trading away all his great assist and if he fails his whole team now knows that they don't matter in the long term deal. Jayson Tatum has already express interest in leveling for a bigger role on the other team. Jaylen Brown has not been used to his full potential. The last one he would lose is Terry Rozier. he is ready to step up and get paid for it. Danny has said his hope is that his young players can better trade picecs for the Anthony davis trade.

The second issue is that his best player Kyrie Irving is planning on leaving or maybe staying we don't know. Kyrie has so much potential and can lead the team to a title if they can stay together. Kyrie has is a big time free agent, this only happens once in awhile. There is a chance he stays but it is not for sure.

The Celtics started this season with the best future but now they could easily be in rebuild mode all over again. In the best scenario they could were there at now almost at the top. The Celtics need to solve there problem.

Would You Rather Have Dwayne Wade or Dirk Nowitzki?

Last night 2 NBA legends have played their final games, those guys went out with style. Dwayne Wade recorded his 5th career triple double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Dirk Nowitzki recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds. The question that will be asked all around the league is who would you rather have on your team out of the two?

Dirk Nowitzki played 20 years in the NBA, averaging 20.7 points and 7.5 assists per game playing in 1522 career games. Dirk has had a legendary career having won a Finals MVP, one NBA championship, 2007 MVP, 14 time All-Star, and 12 time All-NBA player. Dirk's accomplishments are impressive to say the least. At the time he came into the league the stereotypical power forward was Karl Malone, a big strong back to the basketball player. Dirk came in and revolutionized the forward position to now teams want to find a shooter at the position. Dirk is going to go down as one of the greatest European players of all time and has inspired millions of Europeans all over the world.

Dwayne Wade has played 15 years in the NBA, averaging 22 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists a game playing in 1054 career games. Wade's accomplishments can compete with anyones having 3 championships, a Finals MVP, 13 time All-Star, 8 time All-NBA player, and 3 time All-Defensive team. Wade is the all time blocks leader for guards, he's best known for his time with the Miami Heat and only left momentarily because of money issues. The Heat promised that if Wade kept taking less of a paycheck they would eventually pay him back for all of his sacrifices, but never did which made Wade leave for Chicago. Wade successfully recruited LeBron James and Chris Bosh to come into his town to help win 2 championships and they created on of the most famous teams of all time. That Miami Heat team became bigger than life, with everyone wearing their jerseys and they helped change the game forever. With that team it started to turn the fans from cheering for teams to cheering for just players. Wade will have a statue in front of that arena one day and it'll forever be known as Wade County.

Although Wade played 5 less years I would have to go with Wade. After Dirk won a championship he didn't really make noise again in his career. The Mavericks never made it out of the 1st round again since that championship and the last few years of Dirk have been extremely wasted. This last season Dirk could barley move and it has became a joke to watch Dirk run. Wade still is producing even this year with 15 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. The Heat could've made it to the playoffs if Josh Richardson didn't get hurt at the worst time possible. Wade has had the better career and was a force on the defensive end, where Dirk was really never known for his defense.

The best comparisons to players coming in now to these guys are Donovan Mitchell, who is a modern day Wade, and Kristaps Porzingis, who is a modern day Dirk. If you had to start a franchise with a rookie Wade or a rookie Dirk you'd have to pick Wade. In his prime he couldn't be stopped and could put any team on his back and help them win games. He's a force who will be missed around the league. Miami will never be the same without Dwayne Wade.

John Wall Questioning his return next season

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall says he is not sure whether he will be able to play next season as he recovers from a torn Achilles tendon.
Wall spoke to reporters at halftime of the Wizards’ last regular-season game Tuesday night.
He said his goal is to return next season, “but whenever the doctors clear me and get to that point, then I will know.”

Wall appeared in only 32 games this season, averaging 20.7 points and 8.7 assists, before having an operation on his left heel in January. Then he ruptured his tendon in a fall at home in February.
Wall said he will rehab his Achilles in Miami during the offseason.
The five-time All-Star was wearing a gray walking boot on his left foot and lower leg.
“It’s my job to get myself back to where I think I can be,” he said.

If John wall doesn’t return next season it’s a good chance the Wizards will trade him. We all know he’s one of their best players but if he can’t  of use, the best thing they can do is trade him for his value. Even with his injury he has a high trade stock. Once the Wizards let the league know he’s up for grabs there will be offers left and right for him.

Magic Johnson Steps Down as Lakers President of Basketball Operations

With the regular season coming to an end, the Los Angeles Lakers front office will be undergoing some changes.
Prior to Tuesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Magic Johnson spoke to the media and announced that he would step down from his position as president of basketball operations for the Lakers.

Johnson made the announcement at an impromptu news conference held before the Lakers' season finale against the Portland Trail Blazers in Los Angeles.
"I want to go back to having fun," he said.
Johnson, said he had not told Jeanie Buss, the team's controlling owner and president, or general manager Rob Pelinka of his decision.
"I knew I couldn't be face-to-face and tell her," he said of Buss, saying he loves her like a sister. "I couldn't stand to tell her."
"And I think I had more fun when I was able to the be big brother and ambassador."
"(Jeanie) doesn't know I'm standing here," he said of Buss, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
"Somebody's going to have to tell my boss because I knew I couldn't be face-to-face and tell her," he said, per Oram. "... I couldn't stand to tell her."
Johnson and Pelinka visited with Lakers star LeBron James and his agent, Rich Paul, on Saturday, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Johnson offered no indication that he was on the brink of leaving the team, but Woj also mentioned that Johnson "never fully committed" to being the president of basketball operations and had limited office hours running the team. Wojnarowski also added that Johnson was often away from the team and didn't seem to want to put the time commitment in to running a front office.

Johnson took the Lakers job in February 2017, after the team fired Mitch Kupchak as general manager and removed Jim Buss as executive vice president of basketball operations.
Johnson said his position with the Lakers didn't allow him to be a statesman of the game of basketball, and he wants to go back to his life away from the job.

Is Paul Pierce better then Dwyane Wade?

When players retire, they have many opinions that only players can have. Experience is a valuable factor people see these ex-players have and people want to see what they say. Now there are times when they say things that we question. The question is what do we think about what he said about D Wade.

Paul Pierce said that he was better then wade.lets look at the stats to see if this has any bases. The first major different between them is the number of championships each of them have. Wade has three vs the one Peirce has with three more years in the league. If this was the stat that he was better in then he would have argument but there is more. In all the years of D Wade career he has been a 13 time all star in his entire career only has 10 selections in his career. the argument of this achievement could be the fans always liked Wade better and there is bias here. The most impotent one here is the all teams and all defenses team selections each one had. these selections are mainly based on there performance. Wade is an 2 time all NBA first team with 6 more selection in second and third teams, while Paul has never been in all NBA first team. He was only selected 4 time in the second and third team. For the all NBA defenses teams Paul was never selected. wade was selected in it 3 different times.

Paul is a great player but Wade shined brighter then Paul for many years. At the end of the day wade was a better player overall because he was able to do more with less in the same conference. Wade was considered a great without his super team while Paul was just good before his super team formed.wade numbers and reputation puts him way above Paul.

Kevin Durant Is Leaving The Warriors

According to Bleacher Report, "the buzz around the league from various executives, scouts, and media members suggests that Durant is ready to move on." With Durant ready to move on the question is where will he go next?

The Knicks have been in rumors of obtaining Durant this entire year, but in order for this to happen Kyrie Irving would have to come to. The Knicks have just secured the worst record in the league and have a realistic shot at obtaining the 1st overall pick. Mitchell Robinson has successfully made his presence known around the league, quickly becoming the best rookie shot blocker in years. Robinson has a chance of becoming a DeAndre Jordan or Rudy Gobert type of player for the Knicks. Durant would be able to join a great defensive player in Robinson, with a crafty scorer in Kyrie Irving, and also be joining potentially Zion Williamson. Realistically if Durant joins the Knicks, then they would trade the 1st overall pick to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. Davis, Durant, and Irving could become the next great Eastern Conference team to run that conference for years to come.

LeBron James has obviously been recruiting Durant to come to the Lakers all season. They even had an infamous "lets talk under our shirts" moment during their last game against each other. LeBron and Durant would be an extremely scary duo together as the 2 best small forwards in the league would be on the same team. This team would potentially be unstoppable and be a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.

The Washington Wizards could actually have a real chance at landing Durant this offseason. The Wizards are a dark horse contender but do have a case to be made. With John Wall being out for next season the Wizards are going to get money. Since Wall will definitely miss the season, the Wizards will get 80% of Wall's contract paid to them through the health insurance they issue to every player. This money has no effect on the salary cap or anything like that, but it could convince the owner to go more into the luxury cap to bring in Durant. Bradley Beal has been averaging 27.8 points and 5.8 assists post all-star game, which shows Durant that there is still talent on this team. The best case to be made for the Wizards is that Durant is from D.C. and he could come back home to become a hometown legend.

Although I don't think Durant would leave Golden State if they win a championship, it is a fun idea to play with. This Warriors team will go down as the best team we have ever seen play in our lives. Currently they have 5 all-stars with 2 of the greatest shooters to ever play, with Curry and Thompson, and they also have one of the best scorers in the league, with Durant. This upcoming offseason will definitely be one of the craziest ones in NBA History.

Farewell Oakland Warriors move to San Francisco

On Sunday for the 332nd straight game, a stream of fans will form a sellout crowd at the NBA’s oldest arena, wedged between the 880 Freeway and a BART station and flanked by an industrial park where delivery trucks rumble in and out and belch smoke. When poet Gertrude Stein years ago uttered her famous line about her hometown  “there’s no there there perhaps she had this gray patch of pavement specifically in mind.
Oh, and yet, once inside Oracle Arena, there is life and soul. There is strong and loyal support, once again, for Oakland’s basketball team, winners of three of the last four championships. There’s a there here, although not for long. The next time the Warriors play a regular season home game, it will be at their splashy new palace in San Francisco this fall and filled with fans of a different cloth; meanwhile on that same night, Oracle will be filled with crickets and Oakland’s heart with ache.

The Golden State Warriors have existed in sharp contradiction as they’ve built their recent hoops dynasty. While brash owner Joe Lacob has spoken about dominating the NBA for decades and Stephen Curry has mastered the audaciously deep three pointer, the franchise has worked and played in perhaps the league’s most modest surroundings.
Oakland’s Oracle Arena, renowned for its passionate crowds, is the league’s oldest building and sits off Interstate inside a barren sea of concrete parking lots. The Warriors’ practice facility, smartly decorated with title banners and historic murals, is located on the top floor of a downtown convention center. While rivals have trotted out glittering stand-alone practice facilities and state of the art arenas, the back to back champions have raced ahead of the competition on the court and made do

But the Chase Center’s most memorable features are aimed at one-percenters. Premium courtside suites, built under the lower-bowl seats so they aren’t visible from the court, are equipped with a butler, a well-appointed dining room area for social events and a private wine cellar. Thirty of the 32 luxury suites have been snapped up, mostly by corporate clients, at a cost of between $1 million and $2.5 million for a year’s worth of basketball and non-basketball events. “The things that Oracle doesn’t have were the things we had to have to be able to compete for a championship for the next 30 to 40 years,” Moving one of the league’s most popular and profitable teams was inevitably going to leave some feeling left behind. The Warriors have played in Oakland since 1971, cultivating a die-hard local fan base through lean years that produced just four playoff series victories from 1978 to 2012. To critics, the move across the bay stands as a symbol of gentrification and urban abandonment, and Warriors Coach Steve Kerr has admitted that leaving Oakland for San Francisco is “bittersweet.

Should there be a co- winner in the end of the year awards?

For many years sports leagues have had so many awards in and out of it. In recent memory there has been so many good players the media and the fans have had a strong argument for who should win. But the new argument is rising that there should be a co-winner for the big awards. But can this happen and keep the awards with their prestige?

The issues with the suggestion is making winners less important. If the co-winners were to seriously considered then we would have to pick how it work. The system isn't fit for the required extra system. would it even matter if we consider the winners in history. People just might view the winners if it ever happens multiple times. The leagues would need to preserve there awards protegee. If two people were to get it the only good thing could be is players getting recognition.

The true reason this would ever bring is people don't like losing. But the fact is losing is a way of life but more importantly is a reason to compete with others. People who care will in my opinion will lose respect the of the awards.

Zion On The 2019 Fiba World Cup Team

The USA Basketball is interested in bringing Williamson to the FIBA World Cup this summer, according to a New York Times report, which cites unidentified sources. This means that Zion could be playing with the pros sooner than we thought.

This kid hasn't even declared for the draft yet and it is already talks of having on the USA team. But even though he hasn't declared yet we already know that he will be entering specially when he is locked in at first overall pick in the NBA draft. From multiple reports they are saying that Zion is waiting on signing a manager to represent him to confirm talks about the USA team.

Playing for Team USA would give him the opportunity to test his game against high-level international competition and see how he stacks up with NBA-caliber players. We would get to see Zion against actual equal and better competition. Because lets be honest he was clearly a level above the competition he saw in college. His physicality made him nearly impossible to stop in one-on-one scenarios, and his athleticism allowed him to blow past defenders in transition or isolation sets to set up his highlight-reel dunks. Every game this season was like watching a highlight tape.

Zion averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game with Duke on his way to being named the ACC Player of the Year without a doubt. This could be really big opportunity for him he has the chance to become a gold medalist before he even enters the NBA. The only player to do that so far is Anthony Davis and Zion has a great chance at being the second.

The People Who Have The Most Power In The NBA

In today's game we often see NBA players and the writers having disagreements between each other. The writers often say that NBA players have more power and say that this is the player empowerment era, which it is. The story that never gets covered is how the writers around the league have too much power.

Many NBA writers have a lot of power that many people don't realize. Until the 1979-80 NBA season the MVP was picked by the players, during the 1980-81 season that award was picked by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. The All-NBA teams are also picked by this panel of "experts." These votes are huge when it comes to these players paychecks.

The MVP award is a huge bonus in checks and the players legacy. With an MVP on their resume, a player can negotiate more money in sponsorships, like Nike, Jordan, or Adidas. After a player wins the MVP award they become a lot more marketable and are seen in more advertisements. The players legacy is also at stake for these votes. These MVP awards are often very debated about, especially with the GOAT debate. Michael Jordan has 5 MVP's, which helps add to the legacy of Jordan to help him become the greatest NBA player off all time.

All-NBA teams are fun for the fans to see if their favorite players made the cut, but for the athletes these teams could mean millions of dollars. Karl-Anthony Towns is an example of someone who has a lot of money on the line this year, if he is voted onto one of the teams he'll earn $30 million dollars. Another player who has a lot on the line is Kemba Walker, if he is voted on one of the teams he'll be eligible for a Super Max contract. The Super Max is worth $221 million, that would be life changing money for Kemba Walker and it would make sure his grandkids are set.

These writers are in control of millions of these players dollars and their legacies. This is just some of the power these writers have. If a writer doesn't like a player they could destroy their life and career.

When a group of writers doesn't like a certain player they tend to sway the public opinion of them. A great example would be Carmelo Anthony. Anthony is one of the greatest scorers of this generation and is arguably the greatest olympic basketball player of all time. Carmelo Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds a game. He was cut after 10 games and no team would pick him up due to the fact that they would be ridiculed by the media. Carmelo Anthony has been ostracized by the league partly because of the media dragging his name through the mud. Anthony has went from one of the best players in the league and one of the greatest offensive players of our generation to him being portrayed as one of the most overrated players ever.

These writers can drag a player through the dirt and force them out of the league. Some players have tried to clap back at these reporters, like Damian Lillard. Lillard has went to twitter to break some of the news that has to do with the reporters. Lillard broke the news that reporter Chris Haynes was leaving ESPN for Yahoo to become a Senior NBA insider. Damian was getting sick of the reporters always being on him for anything he did, so he decided to answer back and break news about them.

There's some of the NBA media who have mastered social media and became larger than life figure in the basketball world. Adrian Wojnarowski (Woj) is someone who has mastered twitter and essentially became the 31st franchise. Woj has so much power around the league that what he says is considered true. Woj has became the biggest media member in the NBA and his power is so great that when he tweets anything, the NBA world listens. Some players even learn that they are traded through twitter, like Blake Griffin who learned he was traded to Detroit through twitter. NBA media member on twitter are getting so powerful that they are become their own franchises and breaking the news to players that they just have been traded.

NBA writers have more power thank players today. The best solution to solving this problem is to first have the All-NBA and MVP be decided by half players and half reporters votes. The players are the ones who have to play against these guys, while the reporters look at more of the analytic side of voting. This would begin to lessen the power of these reporters. The other solution is that these players start to use social media more to give their side of the issues that surrounds them, instead of letting the media run wild with the stories.

Kyrie Irving Set To Retire

Kyrie Irving is currently the talk all around the NBA world, as the NBA is investing a social media post where he is maskless at a birthday...
